Add Attribute to New Product Record
It is important to note that this tutorial is organized with the new merchant in mind. The least time consuming method of setting up attributes is to create them before adding products to the database. This allows you to assign an attribute to a product at the same time you create the record. However, if you have already added your products and want to add, edit, or remove them from your product records, please see the Add/Edit Attribute on Existing Product Record section of this tutorial. eManager Main Panel
The Add New Product screen will be displayed. A table listing all of your attributes by Title is at the top of the screen for easy reference. Note the system assigned ID numbers in the attribute table. It is these ID numbers that you will enter into your product records to assign attributes to them. Add New Products Screen
Scroll further down the page and you'll see a new product form. Enter the product code, title, and price for your product. If you want to assign an attribute to the product enter the appropriate ID numbers into the Attribute field. If you want to assign more than one attribute to a product, separate the ID numbers with a comma. Add New Products Screen
When you are finished filling in the product record, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen. That's it! You have added a product to your database and assigned your attribute to it. When the product is added to the cart from your web page, any assigned attributes will be displayed along with the other information you have entered. Online Cart Display Screen
